is it like as if I’m in the middle of my bedroom, DMN is the floor, CE is windows/mirrors/closet/wall/door/etc, salience network (shen) is the space that fills my room? And it seems like I -with autism- have a propensity for interacting with items closer to the floor (bending, squating, hunching) by doing activities like engaging with social media (example). But social media keeps me crawling on the floor, so it’s much more difficult for me to engage with CE (looking outside the window/seeing my reflection, leaving the room), it makes it difficult to read all the other stimuli that can possibly inhabit the room.
*I think I hear my bones creaking as I get up from the floor to answer a knock at my door 😆*
For funsies, because I’m not sure I get this:

Love this! Yeah, so as I would plot a room…
Default Mode is the floor
Salience is the Ceiling
Central Executive is everything else
